Asset tracking solutions

Asset tracking solutions over the Squared Technologies low-power RF network – track high-value assets across depots, compounds and in-transit legs in demanding environments.

We design sensing, connectivity, and operational workflows so teams get the right alert, with the right context, and can act fast across distributed estates.

Asset tracking solutions: real-time visibility and control for high-value assets

We have decades of hands-on experience delivering asset tracking in the real world: supply chains, high-theft environments, remote estates, and operational contexts where the cost of loss, downtime, or uncertainty is high. This is not consumer tracking. It is engineered visibility that stands up to deployment reality.

As a consortium of tracking specialists, our collective work in tracking and location systems dates back to 2000. That means more than a quarter of a century building and operating systems where reliability matters: harsh RF environments, challenging power budgets, complex operating constraints, and projects that cannot be solved with an off-the-shelf box and a SIM card. We design systems that produce operational evidence, not just map dots.

We build our own tracking devices in-house to suit the job. From ultra-long battery-life beacons designed for dwell time and utilisation, through to higher-resolution trackers used for precise movement and event detection. We support multiple operating modes so you can choose what matters most: longevity, responsiveness, discretion, or higher-fidelity location intelligence. In many deployments, power is the limiting factor, so hardware and firmware architecture matter just as much as the network.

A lot of what appears in search results is commodity hardware with predictable limitations: short battery life, intermittent reporting, and a dependence on GPS and cellular coverage that fails indoors, under canopy, in metal structures, in depots, and in the kinds of environments where theft and loss actually occur. GPS is also power-hungry, which forces compromises in size, runtime, and reporting cadence. If you need a tracker that survives real operations, SIM + GPS is rarely the correct answer on its own.

Our approach is different. We can use triangulation and network-based location intelligence to deliver high-value tracking without relying on GPS. This enables GPS-denied and jam-resistant deployments, and in the right conditions can achieve accuracy down to around five metres without the satellite dependency. Because the power profile is radically lower than a GPS-first device, we can engineer tracking into smaller form factors and longer runtimes, from discreet tags to specialist wildlife and conservation deployments.

If your use case is unusual, we handle that. We have built bespoke trackers for specialist deployments ranging from harsh remote environments and conservation projects through to discreet protection of high-value goods. We do not simply rebadge commodity devices. We engineer purpose-built hardware, firmware, and telemetry shaped around your constraints and your workflow. That includes environmental design, mounting, ingress protection, antenna strategy, duty cycle, tamper behaviour, and alert semantics.

We also support advanced recovery workflows. Where required, beacon and handover modes can be used to bridge between tracking states and detection tooling, including scenarios aligned to law enforcement recovery operations. The goal is simple: when an asset moves unexpectedly, you do not just see it late. You get the earliest possible detection and a defensible event trail.

Typical deployments range from real-time keg and pallet management across distributed estates, to indoor and mixed indoor/outdoor tracking where GPS collapses, to plant and machinery tracking in compounds, yards, and infrastructure projects. We also deploy waypoint-based tracking across routes by placing receivers at strategic points to automatically audit container movement, shipments, or high-value parts moving overland. If you are moving goods between sites, countries, or controlled zones, we can design the network geometry to match your reality.

If you have a complex tracking requirement, speak to us. We will sanity-check the environment, define what success means operationally, then design a pilot that produces measurable results and evidence-backed acceptance. Bring your constraints and we will engineer the solution around them.

If you are evaluating trackers because a standard solution has already failed, this is exactly the work we do.

Asset tracking solutions

  • Asset tracking solutions deliver real-time inventory across sites, zones, and teams without manual audits.
  • Loss reduction through faster locate and retrieval, with exception-based alerts when movement is abnormal.
  • Higher utilisation by exposing idle, duplicated, or under-used equipment across estates.
  • Operational evidence: time-stamped movement trails for audit, compliance, and dispute reduction.
  • Reduced downtime by confirming what moved, where it went, and when it last reported.
  • Automated exceptions: zone breaches, dwell-time risk, and unexpected transfers routed to the right responder.
  • Portfolio rollout-ready: consistent reporting, permissions, and workflows across departments.
  • Fewer callouts and wasted time by routing the right information to the right person immediately.
